This 500 square foot cottage in Golden, Colorado, reminds me of the hobbits. The design is a collaboration between the homeowner and architect Peter Boes from the crime scene.
The interior is just one open room with a bathroom tucked behind the fireplace and sleeping loft above. As there is a lack of space, the owner of the house came with a ladder-like wine beside the stone fireplace that leads to a loft bed for guests.
The palate rolls made of yellow pine LongLeaf rescued from the Civil War era munitions factory in Louisiana. The same wood used on the floor boards as well. Hemlock newly whitewashed walls.
